Purpose of Policy
BSA Troop 468 retains the right not to provide access to any person for any reason.
BSA Troop 468 reserves the right to change this Policy at any time by posting the revised policy on the BSA Troop 468 website, http://www.troop468.org (the "Website"). No advance notice to any Users shall be required or necessitated, and such changes shall be effective as soon as published. Changes to this Policy will be considered and approved by majority vote of the Troop 468 Committee or as directed by BSA Troop 468 chartered organization, Tinity United Methodist Church.
Purpose of the Website
The purpose of the Website is to provide a centralized communication tool for the troop members and parents, guardians and leaders to share information, to plan outings and events, and to act as a conduit for disseminating information to BSA Troop 468 and the community. The webmaster will make every effort to keep the Website updated, keeping in mind at all times that the content and design of the Website should reflect the purposes and values of scouting and the unique character of our Troop.
Some information may be available to the general public. Information posted to the public will be for the purpose of sharing general scouting information or promoting our Troop in the community. The following sections describe the efforts that will be taken to restrict personal information from being posted publicly.
BSA Troop 468 is the owner of the information, which is collected on this Website. We will not sell, disseminate, disclose, trade, transmit, transfer, share, lease or rent any personally identifiable information to any third party not specifically authorized by you, period.
A cookie is a piece of data that is stored on a visitor's hard drive while they are visiting this Website. We may utilize a short-lived form of cookie when you visit this site but only in the operation of this site. At BSA Troop 468, a cookie is only used to identify one unique visitor from another visitor during a particular session primarily for statistical reasons. A session is the period of active site-use while that unique visitor is linked to our server. We may use cookie technology during a session as a tool to carry forward your input information during the some processes. This enables the visitor to input their information once and have the information appear later during the enrollment process. No personally identifiable information is stored on the cookie. The cookie expires and is deleted from the visitor's computer as soon as they close their browser.

Boy scouts of BSA Troop 468 will never have their full names posted on the public area of the Website unless specifically authorized by their parent or legal guardian on a per event basis. Pictures of scouts will only be published from sanctioned BSA and/or BSA Troop 468 Public Events. Any parent or legal guardian prohibiting such a posting or requesting a posting be removed will be satisfied by its removal within 24 hours if physically possible. That said, we will never post a scouts' personal information on this website, (including but not limited to addresses, phone numbers, etc). Period.
